We decided to celebrate the end of a long winter and tax season by cutting loose and having a little fun at Coco Key Water Resort in Omaha. We were able to meet Gordon, Amy, Drake, and Kirsten there for a little family time too! Thanks guys! The kids all had a blast playing in the pools and going down the waterslides - as you can see. Although we already sort of knew this, Hailey has no fear at all. It wasn't long before she was going down the slides head first, then laying on her back head first. She tried going down on her side, but that wasn't very fun. It was about all we could do between the two of us to contain her! At one point she climbed up on the ridge between the two slides to try and slide down that! Of course one of us followed her wherever she went, which was up to the very top and the big waterslides several times. If we hadn't grabbed her, she would have jumped right in to go down!
At one point we took the kids in the bigger pool so that they could jump in off the side. Taylor was doing really well, jumping in and working on swimming. Hailey loved jumping in too, of course, but that was short lived when she thought it was a fun game to run up and down the side of the pool in order to escape Mom and Dad in the water and jump in on her own! Needless to say, I think there might be two little munchkins in swim lessons this summer!
All in all it was a super fun weekend, and the girls are already talking about when we will go back there and our Great Wolf Lodge weekend. More fun is to be had!
