Summer Projects

As the summer is coming to a close, I realize that I have yet to post any pictures of several new things around our house. It has been awhile since we have had company, so I don't think any of you have seen any of these things.
Below is a picture of the grapevines that Shawn planted this spring. He planted three different kinds of red grapes - about 100 vines in all. He is in the process of getting ready to prep 6 more rows for white grapes this coming spring.

As many of you know, we discovered about 2 months ago that Taylor's severe eczema is due to an allergic reaction - to dogs. Not the best news, but manageable. So, Koa and Rudy are officially no where near the house now. They have been completely moved out of the garage (where they did reside) to their own puppy palace. We moved their entire kennel (12X18) to the side of the outbuilding (sheltered on one side) and then connected a metal outbuilding (8X10) to it. We are really hoping that this will help, and it has - somewhat.
This last picture is of our latest project. We have decided to plant a small orchard on the western side of the property. We are going to have 7 rows each of apples, peaches, and cherries - approx 150 trees when it's all said and done. We currently have 17 trees planted and some more in the works. We are pretty excited about how it looks, and especially how it will look years down the road.
