Halloween treats and crafts

Work has been a little slow the last couple of weeks, so I have had some extra time to spend with the girls.  Definitely no complaints!  We have had a lot of fun picking out various Halloween treats and crafts to make.  As you can see from the pictures, we did some super cute cupcakes.  Hailey picked out the orange spiky cupcakes and Taylor picked the crazy eyeball ones.  After we made them, Taylor had a fun time delivering them with Shawn around the neighborhood to her friends.  Hailey had fun the other day making rice crispy treats and decorating them with Halloween sprinkles.

This weekend we went to the pumpkin patch (see post above) and picked out some pumpkins, corn stalks, Indian corn, and other decorations.  The girls then helped me decorate the outside of the house.  Then on Sunday we tie-dyed pumpkin T-shirts.  The girls each dyed two shirts (although we haven't had a chance to draw the faces on the shirts with numerous pumpkins on them).  What started off as a craft with a neighbor turned into a neighborhood activity with several kids coming over to dye shirts.  The evening ended with kids running all over the place having tons of fun, and the mommy's sipping daiquiri's!  Fun was had by all!
