Glacier Trip #2

We took another trip to Glacier over the weekend and had a blast. We trailered the boat over as well and did quite a bit of tubing. Taylor got a little bit of school shopping done, but the highlight was definitely the tubing.

This was the girls first time in the tube on the lake and they loved it! They wanted to do nothing but tube. The first spot we went was Bigfork, on Flathead Lake. Talk about a gorgeous lake. The water is so clear that it puts any lake in N Wisconsin to shame! I have never seen such gorgeous, clear water. The girls and I did a little swimming and then we brought out the tube. That is the first set of tubing pictures you see.

The next day we want to the Huckleberry Arts Festival in Whitefish and then took the boat out on Whitefish Lake. We had a little picnic lunch on the boat, and then the whole family went swimming (Maggie included). The water was very "refreshing." It took a good 5-10 minutes after jumping in to even be able to breath regularly!

After our refreshing swim the girls wanted to tube, so off we went. After taking quite a few turns together they each wanted to go separately. They loved it! The Whitefish Lake pictures are the second tubing ones you will see.

Maggie did really well on the boat as well. She just lays down and tries to get out of the way. When the girls were in the tube and shrieking, she got a little nervous and wouldn't really sit down at all, but she was able to relax when at least one of them were in the boat. She is such a good dog.

In the evenings we drove around exploring and ended up at the Hungry Horse Dam. It was a lot bigger than we were expecting! We also took a spin through a little bit of Glacier Park, but weren't lucky enough to see any animals.

Everyone is totally worn out, which is a sign of a good trip. Shawn and Taylor really want to move over to that area, so we will keep you posted on how that one works out! Enjoy the pictures!
