The girls kicked off their summer with Camp Invention this year. Camp Invention is a camp put on by the Hall of Fame of Inventors, and it is a science/math/technology camp. Throughout the four days of the camp the girls got to deconstruct electronics, build bionic ears, eyes, and hands, build a battery powered car, and construct a pinball machine. All of the tasks incorporated brain storming, problem solving, teamwork, and up-cycling. The week was capped off by an inventor's showcase where Shawn and I got to see a presentation of their various activities for the week, as well as the individual creations. They had a blast and did so well!
Crazy Hat Day - the girls invented their hats for Crazy Hat day at camp. Taylor's is the "Reminder-hat," complete with post-it notes, safety pins, and a pen. Hailey invented the "Campfire Toss hat," complete with marshmallows for tossing.
The girls posing with the battery powered cars they created. They go pretty good too!
