Karate tournament

As many of you know, the girls are in karate.  Although they started karate briefly in Montana before we moved, they did not really get in to it until they joined Kuk Sool Won here in Galesburg.  Shawn and I love the instructors, and the school in general.  Both of the girls do so well, and really enjoy it and excel at it. 

Over Mother's Day weekend they had their annual "Win a Trophy for Mom" Tournament.  Both of the girls competed in sparring and Korean wrestling.  It was so entertaining to watch.  Taylor took a first in sparring and a second in Korean wrestling.  She totally surprised us with how aggressive she came out sparring, as well as how accurate she was with her combinations.  We were so impressed and proud of her.  And what is even cooler is how proud of herself she is!

Hailey also took a first in sparring, as well as a first in Korean wrestling!  She is always so much fun to watch, as she takes so much enjoyment in the athleticism of it.  We couldn't be more proud of her as well!

I tried to load some videos of the girls sparring, but I kept encountering errors.  Bummer!
