Shawn and I had the chance to take the girls to their first official fireworks show last night in Firth. They were actually pretty good, given the small size of our town. It was really nice to not be swarmed with people too! Some of our neighbors came over before the show with their soon-to-be 3 year-old and we went with them. We asked Taylor last night which one of the fireworks was her favorite and she said "All of them!"
That was all entertaining, and fun to watch the girls' reaction to their first fireworks show, but the cutest part of the evening came before we saw any fireworks. As we were sitting around the house just chit-chatting, the girls were all tearing around being a little wild. At one point Taylor and Avyn (our neighbor's daughter) were crawling around on all fours and barking like dogs. Trailing behind them, trying with all her might to keep up was little Hailey, on all fours making the tiniest little barking noise! It was really cute! I wish that I had the video camera handy to capture it. Hailey is really getting into mimicking her sister, and trying to do everything a "big girl" does.
The two of them bring us such joy, and it is really neat to seem them playing together. Although they are trying at times, and already fight with each other, they truly love each other and enjoy each other's company. Happy 4th!
