Shawn's Deer

Well although the hunting season did not produce any elk for the Ball family, we have a freezer full of deer meat (tenderloins, hamburger, homemade breakfast sausage, and homemade cheddar polish sausage), so it was still a success.  In addition to my mule deer, Shawn shot a whitetail doe, and the mule deer below.  The mule deer he shot had a really big body, and a beautiful, thick hide of hair.  The body was so large that the head actually looked disproportionate and too small!  We are very thankful for the meat in our freezer and the opportunity to be able to enjoy hunting.
