Dad and Shawn got to do a lot of hunting - pheasant, duck, goose, deer, and elk - which they both enjoyed immensely! I know they both appreciate having another person to go with that enjoys it as much as they do. Although they weren't super successful with the birds, they were able to get a whitetail doe, and see a couple trophy bighorn sheep up close. I'm a little jealous of that one! Dad was also a big help in getting my mule deer butchered up - thank you!
While the boys were out hunting, Mom was a Rock Star at the girls' schools. This time around she brought her spinning wheel and wool and did a solid day and a half of presentations at both of the girls' schools! She was amazing, and had all of the kids enthralled (and quite a few of the teachers as well!). Both of the girls thought it was super cool that their entire schools (yes, Mom did the presentation for the entire schools - about 9 sessions in total I think) knew their Nana and that she could do "super cool knitting." Mom you are amazing!
