Shawn returned early this morning from the annual pheasant hunting trip to SD. He's a little tired from the drive late at night, but very happy to be back by all of his girls! Koa is curled up in a little ball in the garage on her bed, recuperating from the hard work. Shawn said that she did a phenomenal job and had a couple good saves, retrieving lost birds and running down and catching a couple others.
The trip wasn't quite as successful as maybe it should have been but everyone had fun - especially Koa. I guess there were still a lot of crops up and that areas that were dry and good hunting last year were under quite a bit of water this year. So now it is my turn to doctor up my oldest baby (Koa, not Shawn) and give her a little extra loving! We are all glad our hunters are home!
