We were fortunate on our Glacier trip for Taylor's birthday to also see some beautiful Montana wildlife. This first picture is of a herd of about 25-30 elk that were just taking it easy in the field.
This herd of elk was not quite as large as the first herd, but it was still fun to see them. The herd was about 2 miles down the road from the first herd, both near the base of Glacier Natl'l Park.
On the way home from the trip we swung down through Wolf Creek and spotted this herd of Bighorn Sheep just off the highway. This was our first time seeing a herd of sheep, so we were all pretty excited.
